O. Ray Johnson, 92, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away August 2, 2011 at Landsun Health Services Center.
There will be no visitation and no local services.

O. Ray Johnson was born January 18, 1919 in Lindale, Texas to Lee A. and Mary (Crow) Johnson. On June 4, 1938 he married Pauline Kee in Lovington, NM. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944 completing basic at Camp Crowder Missouri. He served in the Signal Corp in the Pacific Theater. He was honorably discharged and the family moved to Carlsbad. Ray was employed at IMC for a time before going to work for Fordtown permanently as a salesman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Ray was a member of the First Baptist Church, VFW and American Legion. His hobbies included working on cars, mechanics and reading. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline Kee Johnson and sisters: Lavoy Jean Johnson and Dorothy Johnson.
Survivors are his daughter, Linda Hansen of Monument, Colorado; son, Raymond Johnson of Barre, Vermont; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
