Nora Nichols Crummett, 91, of N. Guadalupe Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Tarvin officiating.

Nora Nichols Crummett was born April 29, 1924 in Phoenix, Arizona to Lowell Albert and Bessie (Quinn) Cook. She grew up in Uvalde, Texas where she attended school. Nora married Gordan McDonald and they ranched in Lake Buchanan, Texas. She later moved to Carlsbad as a single mom and met and married Doyle Nichols. Nora was involved in all of her children's many activities. Doyle died in 1983 and she married Eldon Crummett December 22, 1990. Her hobbies included painting, ceramics, crafts and was an excellent cake decorator. Nora volunteered many years at the Carlsbad Community Kitchen and was a member of Senior Citizens Ceramic Club and Art Association of Carlsbad. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon Crummett; son, Dwight McDonald; sisters: Jean McCormick, Mary Ann Williams and brother, Jim Wood.
Survivors are her sons: Doug McDonald and wife, Carol of Parma, Idaho, Perry Nichols and wife, Patty of Carlsbad, NM, Tim Nichols and wife, Trish of El Paso, Texas; daughters: Teresa Dahringer of Carlsbad, NM, Anna Nichols of Carlsbad, NM; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous stepchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
