Nettie Pearl Moore, 94, former Carlsbad resident died after a brief illness in Tucson, AZ. Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home A Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2009, 10:00 AM, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Mike Veilleux officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Nettie Pearl Moore was born January 3, 1915 in Birmingham, Alabama to Pinkney and Frances (Millwood) Tyler. She lived in Carlsbad from 1950 to 1967 and was a member of the Eastern Star while in Carlsbad. Nettie lived with her daughter Frances and family since 1993. Living in Arizona she enjoyed the wildlife that visited such as bobcats, hummingbirds, rabbits and less welcomed guests javalinas and rattlesnakes. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Lee Moore who was buried in Carlsbad in 1963. She is survived by two daughters: Frances Lee Moore-Pichler and husband, Brent Gerald of Tucson, AZ and Linda June Boatner of Ft. Worth, TX; five grandchildren: Leonard Theron DesRosier and wife, Amy, Robert Paul Bosse and wife, Leslie, Boyd Alexander Bosse and wife, Katie, Lindsay Claire Boatner and fiance, Jack George and Ira Nathaniel Moore-Pichler; six great-grandchildren: Isaac Bosse, Luke Bosse, Alex Bosse, Carter Bosse, Reagan Bosse and Jack DesRosier; sister, Maeatres Sanders of Orange Beach, AL; three sisters-in-law: Carmanell Blacksher of Carlsbad, NM, Ruby Moore and Ruth Poarch both of Birmingham, AL; four nephews: Jerrell Sanders, Gary Nixon, Wayne Walters, Oliver Poarch and three nieces Ann Ingram, Joyce Peoples and Joyce Smith.
