Nellie V. Bravo, 76, of West Bonbright Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Lakeview Christian Home.
Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 2, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain John Mezger officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Nellie V. Bravo was born November 21, 1934 in Las Cruces, NM to Joseph Jesus and Martha (Lucero) Viscarra. While living in Alamagordo from 1967 to 1976 she was very attentive and caring to her patients at Gerald Champion Memorial Hospital. In 1976 she moved to El Paso. Nellie has lived in Carlsbad since 1979. She was a dedicated business owner and hard worker at Scrubs Plus. In 2007 she had to retire due to medical reasons. Nellie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Viscarra in 1987; youngest son, David Bravo in 2002 and her dog, Munchkin.
She is survived by her husband, Guillermo "Bill" Bravo of Carlsbad, NM; son, Marty Bravo and wife, Dora Aguirre of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Emerald Perez and husband, Rick of Canutillo, TX; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, sister, Christine Davies of Albuquerque, NM and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Marty Bravo, Leo Aguirre, Gian Perez, Rene Aguirre, Hugo Aguirre and T. J. Aguirre.
