Nelle Randall

Nelle Randall, 99, of North Edward Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away September 8, 2010 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, September 10, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2010, 1:30 PM, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Nelle Randall was born May 18, 1911 in Hernando, Mississippi to William Franklin and Parnelle Lucille (Palmer) Wood. She graduated from Hernando High School in Mississippi in 1929. Nelle married Charles Franklin Randall, Jr. on April 24, 1933 in Shinnston, West Virginia. They moved to Carlsbad in 1949. Nelle loved to cook for family, friends and church activities. She also enjoyed reading and being with her family. Nelle and Charles built a home in Ruidoso over a period of six years which they dearly enjoyed to time spent there. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George Wood, William Wood; sisters: Norma Darby, Helen Hayes and Lawson Haley. Survivors are her three sons: Frank Randall and wife, Jolene of Ames, IA, Palmer Randall and wife, Jean of Carlsbad, NM, David Randall and wife, Doris of Greenwood, TX; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Pallbearers will be Palmer Randall, Christopher Brown, Charles Randall, Grant Randall, Alan Randall and Clay Randall.
