Nancy Gee McIlwee

Nancy Gee McIlwee, 77, of N. 3rd Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at her home. Cremation will take place and a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phillip Price officiating. Burial will follow at Carlsbad Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Nancy was born June 28, 1947, in Carlsbad, NM, to Herbert Wayne and Billie Inez (Martin) Gee. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1965. Nancy married Hugh McIlwee May 7, 1966 here in Carlsbad. Over the years, she substituted some and volunteered at many organizations. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Paul, and niece, Heather Burrington.

Survivors are her husband, Hugh McIlwee; daughter, Traci Henderson and husband, Cecil; son, Kevin W. McIlwee and wife, Cecilia; grandchildren: Laci Henderson, Cole Henderson and wife, Becca, Jonathan McIlwee and wife, Veronica, Decker McIlwee, Husen McIlwee and Brittney, Kiera Coulson and husband, Andrew, Patience Gonzales, and John Gonzales and Cheyanne; great-grandchildren: Camden, Coleson, Aspen, Silas, Charlotte, Braxton, Braelyn, Caisen, Conner, Carter, Cambree, Wrenley, Henzli, Mary Jane, and Decker, Jr.; sisters: Linda Mitchell, Vickie Davis and husband, Gary, and numerous nieces and nephews.
