Nancy E. Fuentes Hobby, 35, of North 5th Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away January 16, 2010 at her home. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Vigil services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 20, 2010, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church, 1002 DeBaca Street. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, January 21, 2010, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church, 1002 DeBaca Street, with Father Vanentine Jankowski, OFM., Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Nancy E. Fuentes Hobby was born July 15, 1974 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Frank O. Fuentes, Sr. and Sandra G. (Carrasco) Duarte. She always put others before herself; therefore she was very sensitive to the world around her. Nancy lived to please the people in her life and she loved spending time with her two boys. She was preceded in death by Sophia and Augustine Carrasco and Bertha Munoz. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Hobby of Las Cruces, NM; two sons: Jordan Hobby Fuentes of Carlsbad, NM, Nehemiah Hobby of Carlsbad, NM; father, Frank Fuentes, Sr. and wife, Maria of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Sandy Duarte of Carlsbad, NM; grandfather, Julian Fuentes of Van Horn, TX; two sisters: Lisa Bridenbaugh and husband Ben of Sierra Vista, AZ and Frances Fuentes of Tucson, AZ; brother, Frank Fuentes, Jr. and wife (Katy) of Carlsbad, NM and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Childress, Marcello Williams, Robbie Flores, Jordan Hobby Fuentes Daniel Cerna, Daniel Florez, David Mendoza, Jr. and James Riggs.
