Nancy E. Haggerton

Nancy E. Haggerton, 33, of Camp Avenue, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 at her home. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday, October 29, 2012 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, 2012, 10:00 AM, at Day Spring Fellowship with Pastor Joe Henegar officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Nancy E. Haggerton was born May 10, 1979 in Tahoka, Texas to Rebecca McKenna. She moved to Carlsbad as a young girl and graduated from CHS in 1998. Nancy was a bookkeeper for a number of businesses in town. She married Eric Haggerton on May 3, 2010 in Carlsbad. She enjoyed going to all of Eric's bowling tournaments. Nancy was always full of life and lived life to the fullest. She was a dedicated mother and cherished the time with her daughters. Most of all, through her life long illness, she was a fighter and was truly an inspiration to all that knew her. Nancy volunteered many hours at the Carlsbad Community Kitchen and also with Relay for Life. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wayne Birchell and aunt, Glenda Whiteley. She is survived by her husband, Eric Haggerton of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: Sunni Rose McCumsey of Monahans, TX, Maleena Lyne McCumsey of Monahans, TX; grandmother, Edith Birchell of Carlsbad, NM; dad, John McKenna and wife, Kim of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Rebecca Esparza and wife, Sunny of Monahans, TX and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Rick Whiteley, Randy Whiteley, Russell Whiteley, Scott Whiteley, Dustin Baldwin and Jim Smith.
