Murray Earl Quillin

Murray Earl Quillin, 88, of West Church Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation and no public services are scheduled. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Murray Earl Quillin was born January 7, 1924 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Harry A. and Mary Delilah (Wall) Quillin. He graduated from high school in Ada, Oklahoma. Earl worked in the oilfield in many areas before moving to Carlsbad in 1983. He married Mary on December 24, 1984 here in Carlsbad. Earl had a great love for animals. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Earla Quillin and brother, Louis S. Quillin. Survivors are his wife, Mary Quillin of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Catherine Simmons and brother, James Quillin. Memorial contributions may be made to Cat's Meow, 124 S. Canyon Street, Carlsbad, NM 88220.
