Michael Lloyd Rutherford

Michael Lloyd Rutherford, 68, of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Michael was born on July 13, 1953, in El Paso, TX to Lloyd and Alvena Rutherford.

Cremation has taken place, and there are no services scheduled at this time.

Michael was a long-time resident of Carlsbad, and enjoyed friends, sports, hunting, and fishing. Above all he loved his family, and cherished spending every moment he could with them. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Go rest in peace, Dad. Love Cody and Sundacne.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Carl Rutherford; mother, Alvena Loraine Rutherford; and sister, Carla Campbell.

Michael is survived by his two loving sons: Cody Rutherford of Carlsbad, NM; Sundance Rutherford and wife, Lila of Las Vegas, NM; five grandchildren: Michael Ray Munoz, George Munoz, Harley Munoz, Gavin Rutherford, and Gage Rutherford; sister, Tommi Bruner and husband, Mark of Colorado; nephew and niece: Michael Bruner and Rena Frier; uncle, Don Rutherford and wife, Dottie and their family.
