Michael "Mikey" K. Postma

Michael Kent "Mikey" Postma passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at Carlsbad Medical Center. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, November 28, 2011 at CARC Farm in Carlsbad, NM with Pastor Gary Wolfe officiating. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Michael Kent "Mikey" Postma was born July 10, 1953 in Lubbock, Texas to loving parents, Lorene and Wilmer "Bill" Postma. He passed away on Monday, November 21, 2011 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Michael was afflicted with Down Syndrome at birth. Despite this disability, he was able to live a long and happy life due to the nurturing family environment provided by his parents and extended family. As the family moved around with Bill's career as a professional Boy Scout executive, Michael lived in Lubbock, TX, Spokane, WA, Whittier, CA, Pampa, TX and for the last twenty years of his life at the CARC Farm and Washington Ranch in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
