Michael Alan Campbell

Michael Alan Campbell, 47, of Loving, NM, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 10, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Veilleux officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Michael Alan Campbell was born June 30, 1966 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island to Owen and Marlyn (Johnson) Campbell. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1984. Michael went to work at WIPP in 1986 where he worked in mining, hoisting, and waste handling. He was an avid sports fan and always watched the 49er's. Michael enjoyed taking his kids on the ATV's. Michael was known for his quick wit and never ending jokes. Survivors are his daughter, Katherine "Katie" Campbell of Carlsbad, NM; son, Michael Sean Campbell of Loving, NM; grandchildren: Nevaeh Lara, Aaden Campbell, Anthony Lara, Kailyn Lara; parents, Owen and Marlyn Campbell of Loving, NM; half-brother, Kevin Campbell of Chanhassen, Minnesota; sister, Shannon Casey and husband, Steve of Carlsbad, NM; nephew, Austin Cowart and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers are Steve Casey, Austin Cowart, Jerome Hernandez, Henry McIntire, Bobby Modrall and Ricky Fuentez. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
