Obituary
Michael Raymond Bryant, 30, of Patrick Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019. Michael was born July 11, 1989 in Palestine, Texas to Ricky and Teresa Bryant. He attended school in Carlsbad and graduated in 2007 from Carlsbad High School.
Michael is survived by his parents: Ricky Bryant of Carlsbad, NM, Teresa Smith (Marshall) of Battle Creek, Michigan, Liberty Shirley (David) of Carlsbad, NM; siblings: Seth Bryant of Carlsbad, NM, Anthony Zacniewski (Taylor) of Killeen, Texas, Bobby Smith (Brittany) of Battlecreek, Michigan, Kayla Smith of Alger, Michigan; Grandparents Donna Bryant of Carlsbad, NM,Joan Cain of Roswell, NM, Butch Pittman of Roswell, NM; uncles: David Bryant (Rhonda) of Carlsbad, NM, Eddy Bailey of Carlsbad, NM, Ricky Bailey (Rhonda) of Pekin, Illinois, Stagger Lee Pittman of Lubbock, Texas; aunts: Shelly Lackey (Jason) of Carlsbad, NM, Desi Bohner (Robert) of Carlsbad, NM, Brandy Bryant McDonald of Carlsbad, NM, Cindy Lewis of Urbana, Illinois, Kimberly May (Pete) of Logan, NM; numerous cousins, friends and classmates and his beloved dog, Thor.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Bryant; maternal grandfather, Russell Bailey; maternal grandmother, Rae Bailey; maternal uncle, Frank Gonzales; cousin, Caleb Stockwell; and too many friends/classmates gone too soon.
In Michaels own words, he was a laid-back kind of guy who liked to fish, hunt, race dirt bikes, go four-wheeling... anything outdoors, he liked to do. I love chillin with friends having a good time. If you have any questions, just ask and Ill tell ya. If youre not a real person or true to yourself, then dont come at me.
Pallbearers will be Chance Cosgray, Nick Radosevich, Seth Bryant, Anthony Zacniewski, David Bryant, Justin Lackey and Marshall Smith.
Visitation will be 5 PM - 7 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, December 20, 2019 at Landmark Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
