Mercedes Guadalupe Porter, 20, was born in Carlsbad, NM on August 28, 2001. Mercedes was currently residing with her husband, Justin, and their beautiful daughter Availia in Lacey, Washington. Justin, Mercedes and Availia were traveling to Carlsbad for summer vacation on June 18, 2022, when a tragic vehicle accident took Mercedes life immediately from everyone who loved her.
Although Mercedes favorite color was grey like a storm cloud, she was the opposite. Mercedes had the best personality and a natural beauty that would light up the room instantly. To Mercedes, almost everyone was someone she could befriend and talk to. Once she started laughing, no one could resist but join her. Mercedes was stunning, both inside and out. One of her favorite past-times had a lot to do with makeup. Whether it was researching color palettes, different styles, where to find the cheapest eyelashes and colors, she loved anything to do with makeup.
Above all else, Mercedes whole world revolved around Availia. She truly was the best mother, doing everything in her power to assure Availia that she was loved and cared for, teaching her how to be a loving, generous and strong, independent woman that can accomplish anything she put her mind to. I know she often doubted herself, and constantly said that she was “trying” to do her best. I hope she knows that she was a role model to not just Ava, but to everyone around her as well, because she was exactly the type of woman what was she was “trying” to teach Ava to be.
Mercedes will be incredibly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to meet and get to know her.
We will always Love you, Mercedes!
