Melissa P. Franco, 46, of Tower Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Carlsbad. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2014, 2:00 PM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Melissa P. Franco was born July 25, 1967 in Carlsbad, NM to Salvador and Estefana (Pineda) Carrasco. She was a lifelong resident of Carlsbad. Melissa was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She lived life to the fullest. Melissa loved to dance. Her children and grandchildren were her life. Melissa was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors are her husband, Jesse Franco, II of Carlsbad, NM; children: Aaron Baiza and Valerie of Carlsbad, NM, Persethyni Carrasco of Carlsbad, NM, Tony Serrano, II of Carlsbad, NM; 13 grandchildren; siblings: Leslie Carrasco and wife, Maria of Silver City, NM, Regina Hernandez and husband, Raul of Carlsbad, NM, Joe Carrasco and wife, Catherine of Conroe, Texas, Ruben Galvan of Texas, Ricky Galvan and wife, Susan of Carlsbad, NM; Juanita Duran of Artesia, NM, Martha Galvan of Carlsbad, NM; special sons: Justin Carrasco of Carlsbad, NM, Jeremy "Monkey" Carrasco of Carlsbad, NM.
