Melissa "Missy" Ann Granger Dies

Melissa Ann Granger Dies, 40, of East Church Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away November 4, 2011 in Roswell, New Mexico. Visitation will be 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 9, 2011, 4:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Father Cyprian Uline, OFM, Conv. officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Melissa Ann Granger Dies was born July 1, 1971 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jim and Amanda (Alvarado) Granger. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1989. Missy received her LPN at NMSU-Carlsbad. She worked as an LPN at Carlsbad Medical Center, Landsun Homes, Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque and most recently at Roswell Regional Medical Center. Missy was a nursing student at ENMU-R where she was to receive her Registered Nursing degree in December of this year. She always enjoyed taking care of her patients and had a smile on her face that would always enlighten the day. Missy loved her boys and was looking forward to moving to Tennessee after graduating. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Survivors are her husband, Capt. Ken Dies; two sons: Jarrad Duran of Carlsbad, NM, Justan Duran of Carlsbad, NM; parents, Jim and Amanda Granger of Carlsbad, NM; brother, James Granger and wife, Becky of Albuquerque, NM; adopted sister, Brenda Daily of Roswell, NM and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.
