Obituary Melissa Olguin Lane, 43, of Eunice Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her home. Funeral service are scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2020, 2:00 PM, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Buddy Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Melissa Lane (Olguin) was born October 22, 1976 in Roswell, New Mexico to John E. and Connie (Chavarria) Olguin. Though her life was short, it was very colorful and she had many stories to tell. Her career in the medical field spanned many avenues including home health, hospice, and pharmacy. She was dedicated to her patients and gave her all to her work. She was her childrens biggest fan and could be found cheering them on, on and off the field. She loved capturing every moment she could and dubbed herself mimrrazzi due to the constant snapping of her granddaughters. She will be loved and missed forever. Melissa was preceded in death by her granddaughter Alyanna Gonzalez; brother: John Olguin; grandparents: Ramon and Cruz Chavarria; Thedoro and Louisa Garcia and Enrique Olguin. Survivors are her parents: John and Connie Olguin of Carlsbad, NM; husband: Joseph Lane; daughter: Anissa Gonzalez and husband Dakota of Loving, NM; sons: Jordan Chavez, Jonah Mathews, Julius JuJu Mathews; brother: Joe Olguin and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousin.
