Megan was a fun-loving and amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She had an unforgettable smile memorable to all, mostly because of those cute dimples and pinchable cheeks. While in high school, Megan cherished playing softball and was endearingly known by the nickname “Boom Boom” playfully given to her by her teammates. She loved spending time with her close friends, many of whom she considered family. Megan was also very much a do-it-yourselfer. It would be no surprise to find her installing wood floors, painting, plumbing, and sewing. She also loved to cook by experimenting with unique recipes and sharing them with family and friends.
Above all, Megan’s passion was family. It was rare that a day would go by without a phone call to her mom and dad. The relationship between Megan and her brother, Ryan, was truly unique. Their brotherly and sisterly love often involved playful jabs that usually ended in a big, sincere hug. They would do anything for each other. Megan loved planning home date nights with her husband, Tyler, often making a habit of escaping together to enjoy watching their favorite television shows and drama series. She often talked about her love of a big family and having lots of kids. Megan’s life was her kids. She adored her children, and they were her world. Megan loved creating special traditions with them, frequently organizing movie nights complete with candy, popcorn, and all the fixings. She found passion in photography and enjoyed arts and crafts, often involving the kids in many of her projects. Her daily life revolved around wanting nothing more for them than to have an amazing upbringing. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Megan was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joe McCormack; aunt, Janel Gonzales; and uncle, Frank Rodriguez, Sr.
Megan is survived by her loving husband, Tyler Boydston of Carlsbad, NM; three beautiful children: Adley Jo Boydston, Kilian Ray Boydston, and Tate Monroe Boydston; parents, Daniel and Maryjoe Gonzales, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Ryan Gonzales and wife, Maegan of El Paso, TX; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Martha Gonzales, Sr. of Carlsbad, NM; maternal grandmother, Mary McCormack of Carlsbad, NM; great-grandmother, Sally Castaneda of Carlsbad, NM; Godparents, Debbie and Robert Castillo of Carlsbad, NM; Godson, Kayden Parham of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
