Marylou Dominguez

Marylou Dominguez, 63, of Davis Street, Carlsbad, NM passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at her home. Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel followed by a vigil at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 19, 2024 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Marylou was born April 16, 1961 in Artesia, NM to Johnny Dominguez and Juanita (Jaramillo) Ybarra. She worked as a housekeeper for many years. Marylou’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed cooking out with her friends and family. Marylou loved her dogs, especially Coco. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Adrian Martinez, and sister, Yolanda Navarro.

Survivors are her sons: Ray Martinez and wife, Monica of Carlsbad, NM, Alonzo Martinez of Midland, Texas, Jimmy Martinez and wife, Jeanette of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, April Martinez and Frank Rodriquez of Carlsbad, NM; 17 grandchildren, 13, great-grandchildren; brother, Jesse Rivas and wife, Marisela, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be Cristian Baca, Frank Rodriquez, Jr., Frank Rodriquez, Sr., Anthony Corrales, Joshua Paz, Sonny Martinez, Joe DeAnda, and Seth Martinez.
