Mary Buck

Mary Buck, 74, of Ural Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at her home. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 12, 2016, 10:30 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mary Jean Buck was born to Weaver and Josephine Schrock on April 20, 1942 in Carlsbad, NM. Mary and her twin brother, Larry (Sonny) were the eldest of eight children. She married Anthony (Tony) Buck in 1959 in Carlsbad, NM. Mary worked at Cavern Supply Co. for 28 years. In retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and taking care of her pets. She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Dick and Martha Buck; brother, Larry (Sonny) Schrock and sister, Camille Schrock. Survivors are her husband, Tony Buck of Carlsbad, NM, daughters: Liz Jeffress and husband, Bruce of Carlsbad, NM, Laurie Pruitt and husband, Mo of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Jody and wife, Melba of Wheatland, WY; sisters: Nettie Hale and husband, Bill of Grand Junction, CO, Gaynel Delling of Durango, CO, Doris Dehler and husband, John of Glenrock, WY and Robbie Albert and husband, Ron of Green River, WY; grandchildren: Christa Estrada, Dale Jeffress, Jana Aguilar, Bryan Franks and Doris, Anthony Franks, Stephanie Franks, Eric Franks and great-grandchildren: Jacie Estrada, Leighton Franks and Maddison, Savannah and Katie Aguilar. Pallbearers will be Jody Schrock, Dale Jeffress, Anthony Franks, Eric Franks, Mario Aguilar and Leonard Aguilar. Honorary pallbearer is Bryan Franks. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
