Mary Lou Beaty

Obituary Mary Lou Beaty, passed away November 28, 2020 at the age of 81 in Carlsbad, NM. A Private burial will be held at the Tularosa Cemetery. Mary Lou (Virden) Beaty was born on December 8, 1938 in Tularosa, NM to Benjamin Levi Virden and Mary Elizabeth (Wingfield) Virden. She grew up on a ranch east of Tularosa and graduated from Tularosa High School in the Class of 1956. Mary Lou married Gerald Beaty in 1959. They had four children in 4 1/2 years. Larry, Lester, Lorna and Louis. They traveled around the world with Gerald's Air-force career but ended up settling back on the ranch she grew up on when he retired. It was her favorite place to be. Mary Lou enjoyed working on the ranch, looking for treasures, feeding anyone who came to visit her, making goodies to share, sewing and quilting. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, both of her parents, her brother Dan and daughter-in-law Sandy. Mary Lou is survived by her children: Larry Beaty and Michelle Trost, Lester Beaty and Danica Maloney, Lorna and Brian (son-in-law) Shaw and Louis and Merlinda (daughter-in-law) Beaty; brother: Marlin Virden; sister-in-law, Bobby Virden; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and many very loved nieces and nephews.
