Mark E. Hunt

Mark E. Hunt, 60, of Smedley Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at his home. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life is scheduled for 4:00 PM, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at New Song Christian Fellowship with Pastor Joe Daugherty officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mark E. Hunt was born April 26, 1955 in Carlsbad, NM to Glen and Margaret (Hill) Hunt. He moved to California as a young boy where he lived until graduating and returning to New Mexico. Mark married Toni J. King May 26, 1979 in Artesia. He owned and operated Morningstar Maintenance and Landscaping for many years. Mark was a friend of God and he never turned down the opportunity to share his faith in Jesus Christ as he never met a stranger. He loved his children and grandkids but his greatest love was his wife, Toni. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Ed Lee. Survivors are his wife, Toni J. Hunt; daughters: Anna Hunt, Miriam McClane and husband, Brian, Leah Hunt and fiance, Ty Garner; son, Jonathan Hunt; sons-in-law: Dylan Hovrud and Matthew Schutt; grandchildren: Brailee, Madison, Davin, Hannah, Justin, Landon, Noah, Ella and Abbigail; sisters: Michelle Hunt; brother, Glen E.
