Marjorie "Marge" Anderson

Marjorie "Marge" Anderson, 80, of Landsun Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away June 1, 2014 at Landsun Homes. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Phil Huston officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Marjorie "Marge' Anderson was born July 31, 1933 in Torrington, Wyoming to Frank and Gladys (Kimzey) Whipple. She attended Elementary school in Wyoming thru the 7th grade. Her family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and then to Sand Point, Idaho. Marge enrolled in nurses training for 6 months and then she married B. C. Anderson on December 28, 1952 in Spokane, Washington. They moved to California where their son was born. Later they moved back to Spokane, Washington where their daughter was born. Her husband's job with Westinghouse moved them to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Job transfers had them move to Idaho Falls, Idaho, Albuquerque, NM and Richland, Washington. They retired to Carlsbad, NM in 1991. Marge enjoyed letter writing and volunteered with the Community Kitchen and Landsun Hospice. She was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and Christian Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Merele Rogers. She is survived by her husband, B. "Andy" Anderson; son, David Anderson and wife, Terri of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Rhonda Noble and husband, Larry of Santa Fe, NM; grandchildren: Jade Anderson, Jason Anderson, Jolein High, Alison Noble, Brooke McCullough; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Whipple and wife, Nancy of Fremont, CA; sister, Kathy Urban of Concord, MA and numerous nieces and nephews.
