Marie B. Pike, 78, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Marie was born on February 24, 1944, in Milborn, OK to Henry and Hazel McPherson.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor David Prell officiating. Interment will follow at the Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM.

Marie married the love of her life, Daniel Pike, on January 30, 1960, in Plainview, TX. She then went onto graduate from nursing school in 1964, and worked for many years as an LPN. She was a member of Blodgett Street Baptist Church.  Marie enjoyed watching hummingbirds, enjoyed the flowers in her garden, being the family medical advisor, spending time with her fur baby Angel, going garage selling, and especially going fishing with her husband. Her pride and joy was her family, who she loved dearly. She thought the world of her daughter, who took care of her. The twins were the apples of her eye for years and then the great grandchildren came along, and Laynie and Bella became her sunshine. Although she will be deeply missed by her family, they find comfort knowing that she is no longer suffering and has been reunited with her family that has gone on before her.

Marie was preceded in death by her father, Henry McPherson; mother, Hazel (Meneley) McPherson; husband, Daniel Pike; son, Ricky Pike; and two siblings, Betty Jo Walker and JD McPherson.

Marie is survived by her loving daughter, Renee Smith of Carlsbad, NM; five grandchildren: Stephanie Wright and husband, Justin; Shannel Stacy; Clarissa Williams; Chris Walker and wife, Mary; and Ryan Stacy; numerous grandchildren and great grandchild; 10 siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Stacy, Chris Walker, Justin Wright, Jason Steed, Daniel McIntire and AJ Brazeal.
