Marianne Davis

Marianne Davis, 72, of Farris Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away February 25, 2011 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 5, 2011, 1:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor D. Michael Lee officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Marianne Davis was born November 2, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI to Lawrence and Mary (Mooney) Voss. She attended school in Ontonagon, MI. Marianne moved to Grants, NM where she raised her three sons. She worked in the hospital for many years as a surgical technician. Marianne had been living in Carlsbad the past six years. She enjoyed her animals and always lived life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sue Koski. Survivors are three sons: Pat Rookstool and wife, Leigh of Carlsbad, NM, Jerry Rookstool of Carlsbad, NM, Jeff Rookstool of Carlsbad, NM; two grandchildren: Leslie Rookstool, Jeremy Rookstool and wife, Karie; great-grandaughter, Taylen Rookstool and brother, John Voss and wife, Cora of Ontonagon, MI.
