Maria Trinidad "Trini" Torres McGary

Maria Trinidad (Trini) Torres McGary, 84, passed away peacefully at 2:04am on New Year's Day, 2017. Never far from her Family in life, Trini was surrounded by her loving husband, sons, daughters and grandchildren as they rung-in the New Year and a new beginning for Trini. Trini was born on April 3, 1932 to Ernesto and Rafaela Torres and is survived by William (Bob) McGary, husband of 57 years. Together they raised a large family of 8 Children, 20 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren who now find comfort in each other as they celebrate Trini's life and treasure the memories of love, laughter and a life well-lived. Though Trini has lived many places in her life, she put her roots down in Carlsbad where many residents will remember her as the Sno-Cone Truck Lady. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Trini loved to spend time gardening, cooking for her family, dancing, singing and playing with her Grandchildren. She loved her family and now goes to sing with those who have preceded her. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
