In loving memory of Maria Adame Sapien who departed from this world on May 18, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Katy, Texas, leaving a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on September 22, 1961, in Chihuahua, Mexico, Maria lived a life full of grace and kindness. Her nurturing spirit led her to a career a dialysis technician, where she dedicated over 30 years of her life to caring for patients. Maria's selflessness and commitment to helping others extended beyond her professional life; she was known for always being there for anyone in need.
Maria found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. She adored each moment shared with them and cherished the special bonds they created together. She also had a love for cheering for her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Maria's warm presence will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Leandro Armendariz, Sr., and husband, Edwardo Sapien.
Maria is survived by her beloved family: son, Jose Francisco Adame; daughter, Valerie Schultz and husband, Baron; son, Eric Adame and wife, Nika; grandchildren: Frankie, Christiann, Briana, Mariano, Aariyah, Brayden, Bentley, Eli, Ella, and Ellie; mother, Lucia Armendariz; brother Leandro Armendariz Jr., as well as sisters Guillermina Silva and Melinda Armendariz.
A Vigil will take place at Denton-Wood Funeral Home in Carlsbad on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, June 14, 2024 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Maria will be remembered not only for the lives she touched but for the light she brought into the world. May she rest in peace knowing that her kindness continues to inspire those left behind.
