Marguerite B. "Margie" Bennett, 97, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday February 8, 2014 at Landsun Homes.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, February 21, 2014, 10:00 AM, at St. Edward Catholic Church with Father Cyprian Uline, OFM, Conv. officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Marguerite B. "Margie' Bennett was born January 25, 1917 in Auburn, Nebraska to John Joseph and Louise Julianna (Neuman) Kvech. She graduated from high school in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1934. Margie attended business college in Long Beach. She wrote scripts and advertisements over 25 years for radio broadcasts while her husband was in the radio business in Orange County, California. They moved to Roswell and worked for KBIM-FM radio for 20 years. Margie has lived in Carlsbad since 1998. She was a honorary member of Pecos Valley Amateur Radio Club. Margie loved reading, cooking, gardening and animals. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myron J. Bennett; brothers: August Kvech, John Kvech; sister, Louise Lynn and Thomas Coates.
Survivors are nephews: John Kvech of Rockport, WA, August E. "Gene" Kvech and wife, Lucia of Farmington, NM, James Lynn and wife, Pamela of Wichita, KS; niece, Jo Ann Marguerite Edmonds and husband, Mike of Littleton, CO.
