Margo Gonzales

Margo Gonzales, 69, of S. 6th Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Lakeview Christian Home. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, March 1, 2013, 11:00 AM, at First Christian Church with Pastor David W. Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Woodbine Cemetery, Artesia, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Margo Gonzales was born November 22, 1943 in Tijeras, New Mexico to Jose R. and Armelia (Lovato) Gonzales. He married Jan Stephens on December 24, 1987 in Albuquerque. Margo and Jan managed several motels in Albuquerque and El Paso before moving to Carlsbad in 1997 to manage A-1 Self-Storage, which became U Store It. Margo and Jan are members of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and always enjoyed attending Friday Focus. Margo was also a member of First Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his wife, Jan Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Romolo Gonzales, Jr. and sister, Dianne Allen. Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeview Christian Home, Heaton House, 1905 W.
