Marcella Crouch

Marcella Crouch, 78, of E. Orchard Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away December 2, 2010 at Carlsbad Medical Center. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Monday, December 6, 2010, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Land officiating. A Private Interment will be held at Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Marcella Pierce Crouch was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on May 8, 1932, to John H. and Thelma Wiseman Pierce. She graduated from Carlsbad High School and attended Southwestern University in Waxahachie, Texas. In her career choice she was employed by Ragsdale Accounting; Don McKinney, CPA, in Carlsbad and Roswell; Auditing Department of a major CPA firm in Los Angeles, California; Controller for Meguiars Car Wax in southern California; retired as Controller from Ganis Credit Corporation, Newport Beach, California. After working for thirty-two years in southern California Marcella returned to live in her home town, Carlsbad. She married Newel Crouch a retired photographer and lifelong friend and made him the happiest man in Carlsbad for fifteen and half years. Marcella was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband, Newel Crouch of Carlsbad, NM; son, John W. McLin of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren: Lara Demmery of Auckland, New Zeland, Rory Shaw of Christchurch, New Zeland, and Starr Shaw of Christchurch, New Zeland.
