Manuela "Lola" Olivas Lira, 42, of Lovington, NM, passed away March 8, 2010 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Thursday, March 11, 2010, 6:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, March 12, 2010, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Manuela "Lola" Olivas Lira was born August 13, 1967 in Ojinaja, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ramon Ramos and Epifania (Zuniga) Olivas. "Thank you for the love and advice you gave each and everyone of us. We will deeply miss you and will always keep you in our hearts." She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Amalia; brothers: Socorro and Ramon. She is survived by five children: Elizabeth Olivas and husband, Jose Jimenez of San Jose, CA, Lionel Olivas and Stormy Florez of Malaga, NM, Lorenzo Lira and Leticia Hernandez of Loving, NM, Leticia Chacon and husband, Jorge of Lovington, NM, Lupe Rocha and husband, Francisco of Kermit, TX; 11 grandchildren; mother, Epifania Olivas of Malaga, NM; three sisters: Guillermina, Petra, and Norma; six brothers: Santana, Simon, Juan, Socorro, Javier and Hector and former husband, Perfecto Lira of Hobbs, NM.
