Obituary It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel Meme P. Castillo of Carlsbad, NM on April 1, 2020 at the age of 73. Manuel passed peacefully surrounded by his children and lifelong partner by his side. He is survived by Hazel Lara of 32 years; his children: Manuel Castillo, Jr. and wife, Patricia, Margie DelosSantos and husband, Hugo, Alice Garcia and husband, Greg and Veronica Castillo; stepchildren: Liz Kajiki and husband, TK, Maggie Dycus and husband, Bobby, Lynda Kurrat and husband, Norbert, Gil Lara and wife, Toni, Chris Lara, Tim Lara, Lenny Lara and wife, Lissa; nine siblings; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents: Teodoro and Erminia Castillo. He found his greatest joy while spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Manuels greatest passions included restoration of classic trucks, mechanics, remodeling and building homes. Many will remember Manuel for his long hair, beard, generosity, laughter and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all. Private services will be held.
