Madison Lee Aves, 14 months, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Providence Memorial Hospital, El Paso, Texas. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2014, 10:00 AM, at St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Cyprian Uline, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Madison Lee Aves was born April 15, 2013 in Lubbock, TX to Richard Joseph and Katie Lee (Walterscheid) Aves. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Henry Walterscheid, Julia Pulido Morgado, Delores Aves, Dora Aves; great-aunts and uncles: Cindy Gibson, Ray Walterscheid and cousin, Chad Porter. Survivors are her parents: Richard and Katie Walterscheid Aves of Carlsbad, NM; brother: Tripp Aves of Carlsbad, NM; maternal grandparents, Ronnie and Sheila Walterscheid of Carlsbad, NM; paternal grandparents, Richard and Oralia Aves of San Antonio, TX; great-grandmothers: Delores Waltersheid of Carlsbad, NM, Gloria Madison Peden of Philadelphia, MS; uncles: Matthew Walterscheid and wife, Taylor of Carlsbad, NM, Wesley Walterscheid of Montgomery, Alabama, Xavier Aves of San Antonio, TX; great-aunts and uncles: Gerald Aves, Sylvia Gonzales, Ernest Morgado all of San Antonio, TX, Belinda Mihel and husband, Jim, Becky Porter and husband, Don both of Amarillo, TX, Ruthi Walterscheid Corazzi of Carlsbad, NM, Phillip Walterscheid and wife Melissa of Carlsbad, NM; cousins: Jonathan, Giselle, Krista, Todd, Ryan, Mandy, Josh, Kimberlie, Abbi, Ayson, Kai, Madeline, Mason, Gavin, William; godparents: Cory and Ashli Montoya and many extended family. "Madison Lee, our precious angel, you are forever in our hearts. Memories of you will always live with us. We cherished every moment and we will see you in every rainbow, every flower and every butterfly. We love you!" Pallbearers will be Matthew Walterscheid, Wesley Walterscheid, Gerald Aves and Gerald Hernandez.
