Lynn Pearson, 60, of National Parks Highway, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away January 3, 2011 at his home. There will be no visitation. Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, January 7, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplian Andy Harris officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Lynn Pearson was born December 28, 1950 in Liberal, Kansas to Wally and Lois (Schweitzberger) Pearson, Sr. He graduated from Southwestern Heights High School in Kismet, KS. Lynn married Debra Poole September 12, 1972 in Clayton, NM. They have lived in Southern New Mexico for a number of years and moved to Carlsbad about 10 years ago. Lynn has worked in the oil field all of his working career, working for New Park Drilling Fluids for many years. Lynn enjoyed trap shooting and collecting coins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Pearson; two daughters: Chrisa Pearson of Carlsbad, NM, Casey Brunson and husband, Chris of Waynoka, OK; son, Wally Pearson and wife, Julie of Artesia, NM; six grandchildren: Tate Gamble, Malik Brown, Robi Pearson, Ace Pearson, Keenan Pearson and Deborah Brunson.
