Luella M. Krueger-Egbom

Luella M. Krueger-Egbom, 95, of West Pierce Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Lakeview Christian Home where she had resided since 2011. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with The Rev. Andrew Dimit of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Luella Keen was born August 21, 1919 in Corunna, Indiana. She graduated from high school in 1938 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Luella married Carl Krueger in 1941 and lived in Ft. Wayne until 1951 when she and her husband moved to Carlsbad, NM. She had two children: James born in 1946 and Carol born in 1951. Luella worked at St. Francis Hospital as a clerk in the Business Office until she retired. Her husband, Carl, of 58 years died of cancer in 1999 and later that year she married Clarence Egbom. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Earnest; two sisters: Lois and Dorothy and her husband, Clarence. Survivors include her son, James Krueger and wife, Bonnie of Las Cruces, NM; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
