Lucky Heath, 72, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at Lubbock Heart Hospital.  Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 23, 2022 at B.P.O. Elks, Lodge 1558.

Lucky Heath was born January 14, 1950 in Hale Center, Texas to Hollis and Mildred (Cranford) Heath. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1969 and married Neita later that year. Lucky was in the grocery business in the early days. He managed Safeway and IGA before going to work for Intrepid Potash. Most recently Lucky worked for Lakeview Christian Home. He married Joni in 2009. Lucky was a 49-year member of B.P.O. Elks, Lodge 1558, he was initiated into the Farmington Elks lodge in 1973 and transferred to the Carlsbad Elks lodge 4 years later. He became Exalted Ruler in 1997 and served many other capacities through the lodge.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and woodworking, but most of all spending time with his family. Lucky was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Mildred Heath; wife, Neita Heath and son, James Ray Heath. Survivors are his wife, Joni Heath; daughter, Missy Heath and Jeremy Badgett; sons, Chad Nesbit and wife, Shawna and Jeff Nesbit; grandchildren, AshLynn Lunsford, KateLynn Briggs and husband, Matt, Tailynn Nesbit, Cheyanne Lewis, Kaden, Jocee and Coleton; great-grandchildren, Rileigh, Chaselynn, Rhett, Dallas, Austin, Ariyah, Arissa and Easton; brother, H.R. Heath and wife, Patsy; sisters, Darlene Ferrell and Connie Williams; numerous nieces and nephews of whom were all his favorites and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law that he thought of as blood.
