Lucie Caroline Yarbro

Lucie Caroline Yarbro, 67, of North 6th Street, Loving, New Mexico, passed away April 2, 2010 at Lakeview Christian Home. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Terry McKean officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Lucie Caroline (Withrow) Yarbro was born on August 18, 1942 in Beckley, West Virginia to Carlos and Frances (Mathews) Withrow. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley in 1960. Lucie was a sales associate for more than 15 years for Wal-Mart. She loved traveling with her family before finally settling to retire in Loving with her husband, Bill Yarbro, who preceded her in death on April 20, 2008. She loved camping with her family in Durango, Colorado and was extremely proud of her daughters. Lucie was also extremely proud of being from West Virginia and made sure everyone knew she was from "hillbilly" country. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Frances Withrow; husband, Bill Yarbro; brother, Carl Withrow; niece, Beth Ann Withrow and nephew, Robert Withrow. She leaves behind her daughters: Laura and husband, Mark Bunn of Chino Valley, Arizona, Lesley Najera of Roswell, New Mexico; two sisters: Mary Louise Hindle and husband, Roger of Shrewsberry, West Virginia, Elinor Midkiff of Belle, West Virginia. She will be greatly missed by her grandsons: Mason, Ethan, Keith, and Aidan.
