Lucia Acosta Pando, 57, of Ironwood St., Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Andrews, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2015, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Fabian Martinez and Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Lucia Acosta Pando was born December 13, 1957 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Guillermo and Elva (Garcia) Pando. She loved to be with her family and loved to take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lucia enjoyed posting pictures and videos of her great-grandbabies. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved God and had a strong faith. Lucia prayed everyday and worshiped the Lord. She was a very hard working woman. She was preceded in death by her father, Guillermo Pando and brother, Elpidio Pando. Survivors are her husband, Jesus Acosta Adame of Carlsbad, NM; children: Guillermo Guerrero Acosta Pando of Carlsbad, NM, Melissa A. Acosta Pando of Carlsbad, NM, Jesus A. Acosta Pando of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Kevin I. Acosta and his wife, Francine Tanguma of Carlsbad, NM, Vivian Lucia Acosta of Carlsbad, NM, Alexis V. Acosta Rico of Carlsbad, NM, Angelie J. Acosta Rico of Carlsbad, NM; great-grandchildren: Nykhael I. Acosta of Carlsbad, NM, Izmael T. Saiz of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Elva Garcia Pando of Presidio, TX; siblings: Elsa Garcia Pando of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, Jesus Guillermo Pando of Lubbock, TX, Maria Meneces Pando of Presidio, TX, Ana Gallardo Pando of Kermit, TX, Alma R. Aranda Pando of Presidio, TX, Carolina Pando of Mexico D.F., Jorge A. Pando of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, Patricia McElwin Pando of Uvalde, TX and many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.
