Lowell G. Bartlett, 87, of Williams Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2015, 3:00 PM, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Rev. Steven J. Voris officiating.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Lowell G. Bartlett was born February 6, 1928 in Roby, Texas to Bascom and Jessie Imogene (King) Bartlett. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. After the service, he returned to Carlsbad and began his career as an electrician. Lowell worked in the potash mines for a while and then various electrical contractors before retiring from WIPP in 1998. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, sixty plus year member of the I.B.E.W., Local #643, B.P.O.Elks, Lodge #1558, lifetime Masonic Eddy Lodge and VFW. Lowell enjoyed fishing and working crossword puzzles.
Survivors are his wife, Pat Bartlett of Carlsbad, NM; children: Gene Bartlett of Houston, Texas, Terri Bartlett of New City, New York, Mary Ellen Dirlam and Mark Haye of Phoenix, Arizona, Paul Bartlett and wife, Lagina of New Orleans, LA, David Bartlett of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Tyler Wilson, Ashleigh Ellis, Sara Aldaz, Taylor Gamble, Gunnar Bartlett, Hali Bartlett, Victoria Bartlett, Robbie Bartlett, Sydney Bartlett; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
