Lovone A. Goodwin

Lovone A. Goodwin, 83, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at her home. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Lovone was born November 20, 1939 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Warren and Vera M. (Roe) Silbaugh.  She graduated from high school in Reserve, NM in 1957.  Lovone attended New Mexico Western College.  She married John Goodwin March 19, 1960 in Silver City, NM.  Lovone worked as a secretary and radio dispatcher for U.S. Game and Fish two years.  She then worked 15 years for NM Highway Dept. and 15 years for NM State Police.  After retiring, Lovone worked another 18 years at Walmart.  She enjoyed reading and keeping up with her home.  Lovone was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Myrtie Lindsey and brother, Virgil Silbaugh.

Survivors are her husband, John Goodwin; daughters: Kerry Moutray and husband, Terry, Linda Perkins and Freddie Gutierrez; grandchildren: J.R. Perkins, Stephanie Moutray and fiancé, Payton Anderson, Amanda Christon and husband, Josh; great-grandson, Rylan Davis and several nieces and nephews.
