Lorenzo G. Ramirez, 92, of Kircher Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at his home.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
A Prayer Service is scheduled for Sunday, March 3, 2013, 6:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home with Rolando Salis officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.

Lorenzo G. Ramirez was born August 10, 1920 in Loving, New Mexico to Gregorio and Guadalupe (Gomez) Ramirez. He married Esperanza D. Ramirez December 19, 1941 in Carlsbad. Lorenzo was a member of Spanish Assembly of God Church. He served in the Army and worked for the City of Carlsbad for 10 years. Lorenzo enjoyed refurbishing cars, playing the guitar and singing and dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esperanza D. Ramirez in 2001; brother, Ray Ramirez; sister, Alberta Duarte; two infant sons: Francisco and Albert.
He is survived by two sons: Manuel Ramirez and wife, Irene of Carlsbad, NM, Albert Ramirez and wife, Kay of Carlsbad, NM; three daughters: Lupe Garcia and husband, Ernesto Castro of Carlsbad, NM, Alice Castillo and husband, Lupe of Carlsbad, NM, Rosemary Ramirez of Carlsbad, NM; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elfidia Guzmam of San Jose, California and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Ruben Ramirez II, Christopher Rodriguez, Michael Castro, Justin Castro, Nathaniel Ramirez, and Lawrence Castillo.
