Lorene (Wilson) Osborn, 92, former resident, passed away July 19, 2011 in Panhandle, Texas.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 30, 2011, 10:00 AM, at Fox & Lake Church of Christ.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Lorene Osborn was born June 13, 1919, in Little River County, Arkansas, to Nancy R. and George S. Wilson. The family moved to Arizona and settled in Winslow, Arizona. Lorene married John E. Osborn on June 13, 1937, in Winslow, Arizona. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Lorene (Granna) loved her family dearly. She enjoyed growing roses, knitting and sharing childhood stories with her grandchildren. Her gentle, loving spirit made her a favorite to all at St. Ann's Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy and George Wilson; brothers: Charles Wilson and Richard (Dick) Wilson; sisters: Helen Crews, Ruth Hudson and Maudene Kasulaitis; husband, John E. Osborn; son, James S. Osborn and grandson, Mike Osborn.
She is survived by sisters: Paulene Earickson and Myrl Wilson of Winslow, Arizona; brother, Byrl G. Wilson of Silver City, NM; son, John W. Osborn and wife Geneva of Tipton, OK; daughter-in-law, Sue Osborn of Round Rock, TX; daughters: Pam Cummings and husband Benny of Panhandle, TX, Pat Stamps and husband Gaylon of Panhandle, TX; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
