Lonnie Murillo Navarrette

Lonnie Murillo Navarrette, 44, of S. Cypress St. passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016, 11:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Martin Cordero officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Lonnie Murillo Navarrette was born March 23, 1972 in Carlsbad, NM to Alonso O. and Jessie (Murillo) Navarrette. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1990. Lonnie worked for several pipeline companies as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting and welding but his favorite times were spending time with his family. Survivors are his wife, Lupe Navarrette; sons: Lionel Navarrette, Daniel Navarrette and Melanie Mata, Aaron Navarrette, Erik Navarratte; grandchildren: Mariana Navarrette, Larry Navarrette, and Audriana Navarrette; parents, Alonso and Jessie Navarrette; brothers: Alonso Navarrette, Jr. and wife, Christina and LeRoy Navarrette; grandmother, Carlota Murillo and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Lionel Navarrette, Daniel Navarrette, Aaron Navarrette, Erik Navarrette, Alonso Navarrette, Jr. and LeRoy Navarrette. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
