Lois "Rose" Donaghe

Lois "Rose" Donaghe, 69, of Elgin Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at her home. Cremation has taken place and private family services will take place. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Lois "Rose" Donaghe was born June 11, 1946 in Artesia, NM to Rufus and Mildred (Winters) Donaghe. She graduated from ENMU in Portales, NM with honors. Rose was a social worker with mental health for many years. She thoroughly loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who meant the world to her. Rose enjoyed painting, drawing, sketching, singing and crocheting. She was often times seen reading the bible and truly loved her Lord. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jimmie Burns; daughter, Joel Elizabeth Burns; brothers: Bo Donaghe, Butch Donaghe; grandchildren: Josiah W. Burns and Misty Nelson. Survivors are her sons: Zachary Josh Burns; daughters: Johanna Rose Rankin and husband, Justin, Brandee J. Woods and husband, Mark; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: Ricky Donaghe, Dale Donaghe, Daniel Donaghe; sister, Lora Stuart and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
