Linda Young

Linda Young, 67, former resident, passed away May 4, 2012 at Murphy Regional Medical Center in Manhattan, Kansas. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 10, 2012, 10:00 AM, at Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Michael E. Bingham officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Linda Young was born April 8, 1945 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Ira Whiteley and Lola Evelyn Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Donna Sue Weise and her granddaughter, Katherine Jeansonne. Survivors are her husband, Leo Young of Clay Center, Kansas; three sons: Michael Weise and wife, Kristy of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Fred Weise and wife, Debbie of Ruidoso, New Mexico, and George Weise of Odessa, Texas; daughter, Debbie Jeansonne and husband, Kenneth of Hessmer, Louisiana; nine grandchildren: Michael James, Denver, Jeromy, Corey, Miranda, Anthony, Christopher, Micalee, and Alex Gale; one sister, Avis Howerton of Carlsbad, New Mexico; one brother, Gene Whiteley of Green River, Wyoming; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
