Linda Runkle

Linda Runkle, 73, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Fox and Lake Church of Christ with Mike Veilleux officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Linda Runkle was born February 20, 1943 in Lone Oak, Texas to R. Lee and Winnie Ora (Middleton) Henderson. She lived most of her life in Arizona and most recently living in Carlsbad. Linda was a member of Fox and Lake Church of Christ where she served as the church secretary. She was a natural caregiver and volunteered her time to many organizations throughout her life. Survivors are her children: Starlene Hess, William Hoffman and wife, Leah and family, Sonda Gilbert and husband, Jim, all of Arizona; grandsons: Matthew, Mark and Benjamin; three step-children and their families and all her cousins, the Morenci girls and faithful 4-legged companions: Huerta and Dulce.
