Lily Segura Villalpando 94, passed away on August 21, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 26, 1929, to Geronimo Segura and Estanislada B. Duran.   There will be no visitation and family services will be held.

Lily was the youngest of 15 children. She spent her early childhood years in the Guadalupe mountains. Her father was a rancher, carpenter and had many different skills. The Segura children all grew up to be hard workers like their parents. She always talked about her childhood memories. She married Ramon Villalpando in 1947, together they had 7 children: Cecilia Villalpando, Ramon Jr Villalpando, Rosie Kittoe, Virginia Torres, Christina Ford, Dolores Villa and Pamela V. Ortiz.

Lily had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She became a Jehovah's Witness at an early age, attending many conventions, bible studies and made many great memories throughout her life. Lily worked for the Carlsbad Public Schools teaching, was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. She had a variety of hobbies and talents. She loved cooking, dancing, arts and crafts, music, and her study of herbs of holistic medicine. Lily loved to spend time with her family and friends most. She will be missed dearly.
