Lillian Peacock

Obituary Lillian Peacock, 86, of Carlsbad, passed away December 19, 2020 at Goodlife Assisted Living. A private graveside will take place at Carlsbad Cemetery with Mike Adams officiating. Lillian Peacock was born April 29, 1934 in Bowie County, Texas. She worked in the meat market at Tooties Cashway 15 years. Lillian and her previous husband owned and operated the La Caverna several years. In 1983, she began her insurance career. Lillian was a Farmers Insurance Agent until retiring. She cherished the years with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and neighbor kids as they officially referred to her a Branney. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darwin Pete Pendergrass; sisters: Evelyn Bowers, Wilda ONeal; brothers: Truel Peacock and Marvin Peacock; sister-in-law, Beulah Peacock. Survivors are her daughter, Rhonda Harper of Carlsbad, NM; granddaughters: Kari Barrick and fianc, Jimmy Westfall of Carlsbad, NM, Dondee Barrick of London, England; great-grandchildren: Grayson McMinn, Skylynn McMinn, Korlynn McMinn, Jensynn McMinn, all of Carlsbad, NM and Jonah Barrick-Hares of London, England; great-great-grandson, Clayton Joe Gordon; brother, Joel Peacock of Garland, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Grayson McMinn, Ryan Jenkins, Tyler Gordon, Jaden Satter, Nathan Lobo Arnold and Jimmy Westfall.
