Lillian C. Seal, 93, of Landsun Drive, Carlsbad, NM, passed away December 19, 2022 at her home, surrounded by family and loved ones. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2022 at St. Edward Catholic Church Parish Hall with Fr. Pasala officiating.  Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery (old section). 

Lillian was born February 5, 1929 in Carlsbad, NM to Tommy and Delia (Calvani) Martin.  She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1947.  Lillian married Bill Seal June 21, 1947 here in Carlsbad.  She was a bookkeeper at Jackson Drug and sold Avon for many years. Lillian later worked at the city where she retired as a cashier in the water department. 

She was a life-long member of St. Edward Catholic Church where she sang in the choir, served on the decorating committee and maintained all of the plants.  Lillian and Bill enjoyed square dancing and dancing in general, traveling, playing Bridge, dominoes and cards.  Her family was her pride and joy.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Seal on October 1, 2017; son, Steven Seal; sisters: Katheryn Arrington, Bobby Dean Rogers; brother, Tommy Martin, Jr.

Survivors are her daughters: Marsha Melton and husband, Barry of Loudon, Tennessee, Gerianne Dupree and husband, Glenn of Sour Lake, Texas, Pam Hester and husband, Bob of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Brian Melton, Mandie Howard, Wade Seal, Brett Seal, Jennifer Johnson, Heather Garcia and Michael Anderson; 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her fur baby “Gruff”.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Elliott, Grayson Elliott, Maddox Elliott, Aden Garcia, Brett Seal and Wade Seal.
