Lila A. Lamberth

Lila Alice Lambreth 101, of Leavel Drive, Carlsbad, passed away April 8, 2010 at Landsun Homes. Memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Denton-Wood is in charge of the arrangements. Lila Lambreth was born February 28, 1909 in Coryell County Texas. Lila was a faithful and devoted member of Jehovah Witnesses for over 70 years. Her relationship with her creator Jehovah was top priority in her life. Lila was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved closeness of family, playing her fiddle, organ, reading and tending to her roses. Lila was preceded in death by her husband Shultz "Slim" Lambreth, one son Stanley Sherrod and one daughter Peggy Jane Smith, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two sisters Louise Lewis and husband Charlie of Waco, TX, Myrtle Long and husband Bill of Gatesville, TX. Daughters Bertie Hobbs husband John of Carlsbad, NM, Melva Keen husband Jim of Carlsbad, NM, Loreta Sherrod of Carlsbad, NM and Shirley Mikesell and husband Bob of Los Lunas, NM. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons. Condolences may be expressed at Denton-Wood.com
